  2.      4th of July Windsock

  4. Materials:
  5.  
  6. 1 piece white fun foam
  7. Appel Barrel Acrylic Gloss Enamel: Real Red; Real Blue
  8.     (acrylic or tempera paint may also be used)
  9. Design a Sponge
  10. Tulip Glitter Pen in gold or silver
  11. #5 Ribbon - 2 yards each of Red and Blue
  12. String or Yard
  13. Metal or Plastic ring
  14. Paper plate or foam meat tray
  15. Tacky Glue
  16. Stapler
  17. Paper Punch
  18. Construction Paper for template.

  21. Instructions:
  22.  
  23. Make STAR template out of construction paper.
  24.  
  25. Mark star template on "DESIGN A SPONGE", cut.
  26. Dip cut sponge into water, squeeze to remove excess whater.
  27.  
  28. Pour some paint in the paper plate. Dip sponge in the paint
  29. to completely cover one side of the sponge. GENTLY press sponge on
  30. paper towel to remove excess paint. Place star on FUN FOAM and
  31. press gently. Reload Star Sponge as necessary. Make some stars red,
  32. some stars blue.

  34. When the paint is dry outline the stars with dimensional glitter
  35. paint and LET DRY.

  37. Bring ends of FUn Foam together and staple at the top and bottom.
  38. Glue together between the staples.
  39.  
  40. Cut ribbon into 18" lengths. Altenate colors and glue to inside
  41. of windsock.
  42.  
  43. Punch 3 holes around top. Tie string or yard from each hole
  44. to the ring.
